Blood Glucose Test Steps:
Step 1: Get a tiny blood sample from your pet by pressing and holding a cocked lancing device to the test site, pushing, and releasing the lancing device button.
Step 2: Turn the AlphaTRAK 2 meter on by inserting the AlphaTRAK 2 test strip into the meter port, butterfly flies into the meter.
Step 3: Confirm that the code on the meter matches that on the test strip vial.
Step 4: Touch one side of the sample area on the test strip to the blood sample until you hear a beep or see lines moving across the meter display.
Step 5: That's it, you will see the results in seconds. Apply gentle pressure to the test site for a few seconds, discard the used test strip and the lancet, and record the glucose reading.
